Pricing & Booking
How much does it cost to hire moving crates?
Crates are $5 each for two weeks, with a 5-crate minimum, so a small job starts at $25. Pre-set packs are cheaper per crate: Studio Stash (25 crates) is $109, Two-Bedder (50 crates) is $189, Family Burrow (75 crates) is $249, and Big Burrow (100 crates) is $309 - all inc. GST.
How many crates do I need for my move?
As a guide: 25 crates suits a studio or 1-bedroom apartment, 50 crates suits a 2-bedroom home, 75 crates suits a 3-bedroom house, and 100 crates suits a 4-bedroom house. See our package pages for full details.
Do I need to pay a bond or deposit?
No. Wombat Crates does not require a bond or deposit on any hire.
What's included in the price?
Every hire includes two weeks (not just one), free delivery and collection, and label cards on every crate. A dolly is included free with 50 crates or more, or available as an optional add-on for $25.
Delivery & Collection
What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver and collect free across Sydney's North Shore and Northern Beaches, from the Harbour Bridge up to Palm Beach.
Do you deliver on weekends?
Yes - we deliver seven days a week, including Sundays, with a 2-hour delivery window you choose.
Are the crates clean when they arrive?
Yes. Every crate is pressure-washed and sanitised with food-grade disinfectant between hires, and arrives clean and nested with a fresh label card in its pocket.
Using Your Crates
How long can I keep the crates?
Two weeks are included in every price. Need longer? Extra weeks are $1.50 a crate per week: choose them at checkout, or message us before your collection date and we'll add them.
What happens if a crate is damaged or cracked?
If a crate arrives cracked, we will swap it at no charge.
Do you provide moving supplies like tape or packing paper?
No tape needed - crates have attached lids, so there is no assembly and no soggy bottoms. Every crate has a label card in its pocket, so labelling is a pen and ten seconds.
Cancellations & Changes
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, free of charge, up to 48 hours before your delivery.
Do you hire crates for office or commercial moves?
Yes, we supply larger quantities for office and commercial relocations - get in touch to arrange a custom quantity.
